I didn't know Charles, but I do know his son's wife Cathy. I just had to say that after reading his obituary I was moved at his dedication to our country and his devotion to his family and community. This world needs more and more people like him. I know that he will be greatly missed! God's blessings and comfort to families and friends during this time.

As Charley's aunt, I remember him as such a cute little boy . It is very hard to realize that he is gone. We will all miss him.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Charles. We spoke at Dog Club on Tuesday night the 3rd and he was planning to join us this Monday night at Crest Haven Nursing Home with Chloe for Dog Therapy. Charle & Chloe were new friends that fit into our Therapy Dog Group just perfectly. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.

My brother was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grand father and great grand father. I will miss him and the times in recent years we had together. Going hiking, to concerts and horse shows, Christmas on the square, and just enjoying life were things we did together. I am glad he is now with Jeanne, mom and dad and I look forward to seeing him again one day. I appreciate all he did to help keep the family close together. I pray we will continue to honor him by our love and concern for all the family.

I feel fortunate because God blessed me with an older brother who is also a friend, devote Christian, and a Patriot. He left us all too soon. In the two weeks just prior to his passing, Charley and I exchanged over seventy emails. His quick wit and sense of humor always kept me in stitches. I will miss you Brother.
One of my favorite prayers and I believe it is appropriate here is the Prayer of Jabez. In part it reads:
"And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou would bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou would keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! (Jabez prayed that prayer once) And God granted that which he requested."
Likewise, I believe Charley was blessed by the Lord above in this life and will be in the next. Charley leaves behind family and friends that love him and his best pal Chloe. The world is a better place for him having been here.
