Obituary of William P. Conroy

With deep sorrow and love we announce the passing on Monday, July 27, 2009, of William Patrick Conroy, Sr., age 79, after a lengthy struggle with cancer. Bill joined his parents and his dear son, Paul Joseph Conroy, Sr, in heaven (Sherry). Bill fathered a loving daughter and five loving sons, along with an extended family of friends. He was proud to be presented two honorable discharges from the Marine Reserves and U. S. Navy. He was respected as Manager at Sears Bridge Street Warehouse for 40 years, where the work was stopped for the first time ever to give all an opportunity to wish him a happy retirement. Homes during his 51 years of married life were in Mayfair, PA. ( 3 years), Pennsauken, NJ (25 years) and Cape May (23 years). The world is missing a very special piece of it with Bill's passing. Surviving are his wife, Patricia; loving children, Wm. Jr. of Cherry Hill, Michael (Laura) of Sicklerville, James Steven (Lisa) of Pilesgrove, Patty Ann of Brigantine and Peter of Laurel Springs; and nine grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Bethanne, Paul, Jacquelyn, Matthew, Amylynne, Patrick and Jennifer. He is also mourned by his sister, Anne Parker Marto and two nieces, Barbara Ann and Alyce Mazzoni. We keep him forever in our hearts. On Friday, July 31, 2009 viewing will be from 9 - 10:30 AM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N. Cape May, NJ followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 AM at St. John of God Church, 680 Townbank Rd., N. Cape May, NJ. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.
