Many years ago, I had the opportunity of playing basketball with Ailis and Bonnie, at Northeastern High School. I always admired Ailis for being a Police Officer and being so gentle. The funny part of it all was that I was sooo short, especially when standing next to Ailis. Despite the taller women on the team...I was right in there, trying to jump for rebounds with her. Ailis of course prevailed, I always walked away empty handed and with lumps on my head. In 1985, I was proud to follow in Ailis's foot steps, the women before and became a member of the Philadelphia Police Department. When I had to face the polygraph prior to being hired....the gentle giant and I crossed paths in the hallway...she made me feel at ease.. Bless you and your family Ailis, we are all better people for having met you.
Fondly, Arline...aka...Buddy
