John Rotondi, age 63, formerly of Erma and most recently of Somers Point, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015. John was born in Mola di Bari, Italy; formerly lived in Brooklyn, NY; and has been a Cape May area resident for 44 years. He is the son of the late Giuseppe and the late Rosa Maria Rotondi. John was Roman Catholic by faith. He was active in the local Rotary, was a Boy Scout Leader, was active in many local youth sports, and was a sponsor and coach in the Lower Township Little League. John worked in the Road Department of Lower Township Public Works. He was the owner/operator of Brother's Pizza in North Cape May, Angelo's Pizza in North Cape May, and Mama Rosa's Pizza in Villas. John is survived by his wife Mary Curcione; his siblings: Margherita (Luigi), Vitantonio (Margherita), & twin sister Raffaella (Vito Antonio); his children: Giuseppe (Haroula), Giovanni (Dolores), Tomaso (Stephanie), & Angelo; his step children: Mary (Dom) DiChiara, Caroline Curcione, Pasquale Curcione, & Carla Mayo Meell. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Marianna, Carli Anne, Giovanni, Anastasia, & Tommaso; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. There will be a viewing from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204.
