I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of John owner of Mama Rosa Pizza in the Villas. When I was stationed in Cape May Coast Guard Training Center and lived in Del Haven we used to stop by Mama Rosa all the time, John would always tell whom ever was making my Pizza to make a special one for me. When I was moving from Del Haven to North Cape May I stopped in for a pizza and John saw my car loaded with house hold items and said here Mike take my truck and handed me the keys, that the kind of great guy he was. His wife Mary one night needed a ride home and John asked if I could give her a ride home in my Red Mustang I did. I was on the internet and was looking for Mama Rosa Pizza in the Villas on google earth and just wanted to drive by it again after about 40 years to see if it was still there. I didn't see it so I looked it up on google and found that John has passed. What a great guy and friend and blessing to his community. My condolences to his family and friends. Michael Harrington, USCG Retired.

My sincerest condolences to the entire Rotondi family and all who loved this man.
I have heard both Tom and Joe talk about their father often with great pride, gratitude, comedy and love. I pray that all of those great stories will be continued to be spoken, in his memory for 100 years to come.
My prayers go out to all who knew this man and especially all who loved him. Please know that this is not a loss of great man but the gaining of incredible guardian angel who will look down on all of you with love until the day the Lord calls each of you home.
Our kindest regard,
Kevin M. Celli and family.

I first remember John from Brothers Pizza, when I was a kid it was the best pizza shop around here! The pizza and food were tops but most of all smiling happy faces that greeted you and made you feel at home, that's what made Brothers the best! That was John. Years later I can remember John being one of the hardest working men around working for the lower township road dept. I remember once while I was in LCMR the car lot was being repaved and it was 98 or so outside. I saw John out there working, he took a minuet and spoke with me; I asked John how he could stand working with all that hot tar and pavement in heat like this? John just kinda laughed a little and said to me "This? Ahh, this isn't that bad, this is easy" smiled, told me to take care, and went back to work. That was John. I'm a friend of Angelo and Tony, and was in LCMR with them and Tommy. All of them are top notch, first class guys all the way, respectful, trustworthy, loyal guys and it's because they all had a great man to look up to! That was John. RIP John Rotondi

So sorry for you loss. Your father was a strong supporter of many children always encouraging everyone to do their best. You see these traits in all four of you. Carry his legacy in your children and share his story. He was a great man! Thoughts and prayers for you all during this difficult time.
