Dears Winter Family, My sincere sympathies to all. I haven't seen Jackie for years ,but did see him several years ago in the parts store in courthouse. We went to school together in Woodbine for several years, then our family moved to Florida in 1970. As the years go by one tends to think about people and things we did in the past, and wonder what or where friends are now sorry for that Jackie had to leave u so soon. I also lost my husband in March, and the pain is ... well you all know what I mean. Just a little note from a old friend. Rosemarie Kubiak Hall

John (Jack) was my brother n law and I will miss him badly.
When I first met Jack over 35 years ago he had just got out of the marines and was coming off a plane. He looked strong, tough, and intimidating and he had the personality that matched. What I learned over the past 35 years was this tough, loud and proud man on the outside was really a caring soft hearted and loving man on the inside. He loved and cared deeply for his family. He physically worked hard all his life including 2 jobs for over 20 years to provide for them all. He would growl at times but he always gave in especially when it came to his grandchildren. He loved his sons deeply and wanted them both to succeed in life, but he especially loved being a grandparent. He was an excellent grandfather always showing his grandchildren lots of love, fun, and spoiling them with almost anything they wanted. He was constantly bragging about them and texting me photos. I loved it and I loved how excited he would get when he saw them.
For me, I will miss our fishing trips, our kidding around, his smiling face, our visits together, and our trips that will never be. You were a great brother-n-law and always came over and helped fix things for us whenever we needed anything. In fact, he would always come when any family member needed anything. Family was important to him and he always protected them. I hope you are in heaven with Linda and having the time of your life. You will be greatly missed.
