Obituary of Benjamin Webster Lockwood

Benjamin W. Lockwood, age 48, of Wildwood Crest; beloved son, brother, and father; passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014. Ben was born November 19, 1965 in Albany, NY and moved to the Cape May area in 1978. He loved spending time with family and friends, hunting, gardening, camping, cooking, and fishing (even fishing commercially in Alaska). Ben loved the Lord and his church. He is survived by: his mother Linda L Lockwood of Wildwood Crest, NJ; his father Stephen L Lockwood of Clinton, NY; his brother Daniel Lockwood of Cape May Court House, NJ; his brother Gabriel Lockwood of Clinton, NY; and his sister Kathryn Lockwood of Wildwood Crest, NJ. Also surviving are his three children: Nile, Samuel, & Kathryn of Whidbey Island, WA; and many aunts, uncles, & cousins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at St Simeon's by the Sea Episcopal Church, 2502 Central Ave, North Wildwood, NJ 08260; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Ben's memory be made to St Simeon's where he was a parishioner.
