Wow I was randomly looking to say hello to an incredible boyfriend I had while he lived here in the Seattle area. My heart broke to find this. My memories of our time together ❤ are so remarkable I never forgot about you. The porch you built at my parents house still stands strong, the kids you watched learn to ride bikes, go off jumps have grown and now are parents themselves. Every single day including today driving home from work looking for the trees we used to walk in I still can't figure out where they are. Its been 25 years and I still remember telling my parents we were going to marry. I laugh to this day about so much that happened. I remember Steve calling me telling me he had ran into you, I tried to read the number and call you. Well my dear friend im sure you know seems your already with the Lord my dad mom and step dad Steve are all up there with you. To me you have left an ever lasting impression of what love is to be honest im just sad you and I never followed the dreams we had with each other. We will meet again and until that day know you are loved but you already know that... every time I drive by our special place and I turn to look...thats love

Dan,
So sorry to hear about your brother. Ben was full of piss and vinegar and brutally honest, and I loved that about him. He always made his presence felt and known. He definitely was not a wall flower and never cared much for fading into the background. You couldn't meet Ben and not come away with an indelible impression. I've thought about his nuggets of wisdom a lot over the years. I miss him already and will continue to.
