Jay was one of the greatest men I’ve ever known. A friend for many many years. When I lost Chuck, Jay flew to Arkansas and gave the best eulogy. Jay was part of my family. My kids loved their “ Uncle Jay”! He will be so missed. Hugs to Valerie, JJ and Heather. I will never forget my dear friend and after all, I introduced him to Valerie. A story he loved to tell. Love, Patsy Lund

When i think of Jay i can think of nothing but a kind friend. The whole Seashore Campsites Family was very very kind to a girl named Beth who worked for them for over 30 years. And i thank them all. Beth told me many stories of that care and Mr Jay was somehow always somehow involved. Thank you too Valerie and Jay Jay and Heather for sharing him with us all. He loved you all, his family. He loved his friends; and by the way he lived i know he loved his God. Norma Landis

Val, Heather, JJ, my heart is breaking for all of you. I don't care how prepared you think you are..... you're not. It has been a privilege and honor knowing all of you. Jay was a brother to us. We will miss him greatly but hold on and laugh at the memories. Love you guys. Bill and Denny

Even if we've been coming to Seashore Campsites since 2004, it's in 2008 that we really had time to get to know Jay.
We were on an early trip at the end of April. When we checked in, the first thing Jay did when he realized that we were from Montreal was to wear his Philly Flyers hat because those two teams were in the Stanley Cup Playoffs that year.
We've became friends and had lots of good moments with him and his family over the years. He treated us like family, that was not part of being a business owner, it was all about being a friend. He always cared about our children and try to give them good time like when he took them for a spin in his old red car. We'll miss so much those discussions on a relax afternoon by the trailer or those ''poutine dinner'' we had all together. We exchanged so much and learned a lot from him. We will never forget how big his heart was, how nice it was to hear him laugh and how it felt when he gave us a hug.
May you rest in peace our friend, we will miss you forever.

There are few memories of going to Cape May and the beaches that did not involve Jay's presence or very apparent efforts.
The Dawson family enjoyed too many years and memories because of your efforts Jay. We will miss your Cheshire smile and sarcastic humor.
We were all blessed to have known you and enjoyed your company. May God bless Valerie, Jay, and Heather in these tough days.
Love
Steve Dawson and Family

Jay’s memory will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved him. He’s been a for 50 years and I considered him a brother-in-love. Jay was an extrovert extraordinaire! No one was a stranger. Jay was one of the most generous people I’ve known. If someone was in need he was there to help. I remember encouraging him to run for Lower Township mayor. I always thought of him as “Mayor.” I visited him earlier this year when he was in rehab. He knew everyone in the place and it was such a joy to see him “work the crowd”! I will be forever grateful to be able to spend time with him just before to went to his eternal reward. May God fill the family’s hearts and minds with comfort, peace and wonderful memories. Jay was indeed memorable!

Valerie, Jay, Jr., Heather and family, My deepest condolences and prayers during this most difficult time. Jay was a great man and friend to me. I have great memories of us at the campground ( getting the golf cart stuck in the fireplace my first time). Also being at Tabernacle and his singing in the choir. He will be missed by all of us.
