Obituary of Regina C Bennett

Regina C. Bennett (Crawford), 68, Villas, NJ, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, August 1 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born May 18, 1955 in Darby PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Regina Crawford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Aunts and Uncles, Sister Marie George SSJ (Katherine Conner), James Connor (Catherine "Kitty") and Thomas Crawford. She had a strong devotion to her Catholic faith and believed deeply in the power of prayer. She was a member of St. Raymond Catholic Church, Villas, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, bringing the sacrament of Holy Communion to the sick and shut-ins of the Parish. She also was a member of the Joy in Jesus Prayer Group. Regina was a caring and loving individual who put others before herself. She not only cared for her children and grandchildren but for her aunts and uncles as well. As a young girl growing up in the Philadelphia area, the Crawford family would spend their summers at their home in the Villas. Their home was next door to the Bennett family. Young love soon developed between young Regina Crawford and young Michael Bennett. The two met during their teen years and eventually married on September 25 of 1976. They would continue to vacation in the Villas with their family and would eventually relocate to the Crawford house where they have been living ever since. Regina will be forever missed by the love of her life Michael; children Regina Gingrich (Andrew), Sean Bennett (Donna), Daniel Bennett (Jennifer), and Michelle Hocker (Steve); grandchildren Nicholas, Jonathon, Alexander, Christopher, William, Bradley, Jethro, Allison, Michael, Emily, Ryan and Danielle. She is also survived by her siblings James Crawford (Nola), John Crawford (Stella), Chuck Crawford (Rosemary "Peaches"), Thomas Crawford, Anna Crawford and Joseph Crawford (Joy); and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 11, 2023 at Parish of St. John Neumann, Church of St. Raymond, 800 Bayshore Rd Villas, NJ. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10AM until the time of Mass at 11AM. Interment will be held on the grounds of Cold Spring Cemetery 780 Seashore Road Cape May NJ.
