Obituary of Ruth McNamara McLeod

Ruth McNamara McLeod, 96, of Villas NJ formerly of Santa Barbara CA, entered into eternal rest Saturday, April 22 at North Cape Center where she had been a guest. Born April 3, 1927 in Cincinnati OH, she was the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Josephine (Klein) Osborne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Dr. William Edward McNamara Jr. MD; her second husband John "Jack" McLeod; son Patrick Osborne McNamara and three sisters. Ruth enjoyed painting.and her passion was with oil and water colors. Also, she played golf, tennis, and lawn bowling competitively. While living in Cape May County, Ruth was often seen walking around the neighborhood or on the beach with her walking stick making friends along the way. She loved her cottage near the bay and enjoyed the 15 years she lived there. Ruth raised her children in Warwood, West Virginia prior to moving to Santa Barbara, California. Ruth will be deeply missed by her children William "Bill" E. McNamara III, husband of Mary Jo and Scott Allen McNamara, MD, step children Scott McLeod and Heather McLeod Junge; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral Services and Interment were private and at the convenience of the family. Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May NJ has been entrusted with arrangements.
