I am shocked & so saddened to her of my dear childhood friend ,Colleen ‘s passing. I have lots of fond memories of our times together thru grade school & high school. Spending countless hours playing , riding bikes thru Bayshore West & NCM , singing the latest hits as we walked those streets & swimming at the community pool .. So many fun times & lots & lots of laughter ..Colleen always had a smile & always had a helping hand .. She was the one who saved me on the day of my drivers test allowing me to use her “pinto station wagon “ because my parents car would not start … I was going to cancel but she said “ no let’s do this” … we did , I passed ! that’s how she was finding the positive in every situation…
I was her “ Maid of honor “ a tribute to our friendship that I still hold close ..Even though life took us in different directions whenever our paths would cross, we would reminisce over our childhood memories like it was yesterday ..We would laugh all over again … IT was SPECIAL :)
It wasn’t until recently I learned she was dealing with health issues & was living close .. I tried to visit her but no one was home .. I really wish she had been there because I would have loved to hear her laughter again … To her children ,Doreen & Bobbi I am so sorry you have to deal with your mothers loss so early in life .. but know your mama is still looking after you ! She will send you signs to let you know she’s ok & will help you as you try to move forward without her …She is your forever angel :)
External rest grant unto her , oh Lord & let your perpetual light shine on her … Rest in peace , my friend ! Until we meet again <3
