Heineman-O'Donnell, Margaret Mary " Peg", 87, of Cape May, NJ passed away on January 28, 2022. Peg was born in Philadelphia, PA to Patrick M. Sullivan and Catherine Dunleavy Sullivan. Formerly of Philadelphia, PA and Cherry Hill, NJ, Peg lived in the area for over 31 years. She received a BS in Nursing from Widener University and worked as a nurse at Burdette-Tomlin (now Cape Regional) and Cooper Medical Center for 20 years. Peg was also a clerk for Branch Motors Express in Pennsauken, NJ and a proud member of the Teamsters and a shop steward. She enjoyed gardening, travel, dogs, her Irish heritage, string bands, reading, hiking on the beach, wine tasting (Chardonnay was her favorite), and eating at the Lobster House Dock. Peg was a member of St. John Neumann Church where she read on Sundays. She was also a member of Cape May Garden Club and Cape May Singles Social Club. Peg is survived by her husband of 8 years, Bernard O'Donnell and her children Raymond (Sue), Stephen (Judie), Karen (the late Keith), and Michael (the late Carrie). She is also survived by her grandchildren Kristin (Chris), Ray (Samantha), David (Sara), Julia (Colt), Michael (Jessica), Lindsay (Shawn), her great-grandchildren Alexandra, Chase, Raymond, Charlotte, Alice, Faith and Shawn, her siblings, Kathleen (Jack) Connolly, and Anne (Bob) McCabe. She also leaves her beloved grand-dog Bandit. Peg is predeceased by her parents Catherine and Patrick Sullivan, husband Raymond Heineman, her brother Charles Sullivan, and her beloved dog Casey . A viewing will be held at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 6-8 pm. A visitation will be at St John Neumann , 680 Townbank Road in North Cape May on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 10:15-10:45am. There will a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will be at the Veterans Section of Cold Spring Cemetery. Donations may be made to John W. Hallahan Alumni Association for Legacy Scholarships.
