Having reached a “certain age,” I’ve spent time thinking about all the people who have influenced me and had a significant positive impact on my life. Mom, Peg Heineman, was one of those people. She helped me become the person I am today through her grace, style, charm, warmth, and compassion. If I can emulate even an iota of those wonderful gifts, I will become a better person and do justice to her memory. She was the best mother-in-law anyone could have. I will miss her deeply.
