Jimmy and I met in High School and hit it off right away. He had a way of making you laugh and was so much fun to be around. Our love of music was a bond that lasted through the years. We loved playing together with Mark and John with the Manchester's and even made a record together, "Tobacco Road" and "Do you believe in magic". I so enjoyed playing with Jim, Mark and John because they were perfectionists.Had to get it right or we wouldn't play it. Like Mark said, the harmony was like flowing butter.I can still here "Nowhere man" in my ear all the time.I will miss Jim and have a constant place in my heart always for Jim, Mark and John. Rest easy my friend until we play again in paradise! Love ya man!

Jimmy and I both attended Frankford High School in Philadelphia. He was one of few special friends, special because we shared a love of music, the music of the times in the late 60’s. In those days we couldn’t wait until the next Beatles, Stones or Kinks record came out so we could learn to play it in our band, The Manchesters. My earliest memories of signing harmony is with Jimmy. I still remember the thrill of hearing our voices blend (Jimmy, Joe, John and myself) while playing in our band. There were several bands at Frankford High at that time but none of them had the vocal harmony of our band. The band was a big part of my high school years and I will always remember those times fondly. When Jimmy and I recently reconnected it was our conversations about music that always seemed to allow him put aside the pain and discomfort he was experiencing, if only for a moment. When I think of Jimmy, it is his love of making music I will always remember.

Jimmy was a friend from my youth. We had many good times. We shared a lot of interests, mainly music. We lost touch but reconnected a few years ago. I'm so glad we did. It seemed like we picked up where we left off. I wiil miss him.
Vaya con dios, my friend.
