God promises to destroy the enemy, death, once and for all. The Bible teaches "As the last enemy, death is brought to nothing." (1 Corinthians 15:26). And there is also the resurrection hope that we will one day see our loved ones again. (John 5:28, 29) God has never broken a promise, so the resurrection is something solid to base our hope on.
