Joseph Luczejko, 99 years of age, of North Cape May, NJ, passed away on December 7th, 2019 in Philadelphia, PA. Funeral service will be held at St. John of God Church, 680 Town Bank Road, North Cape May, NJ 08204 on Friday, December 13th, 2019. Viewing is at 10:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11:00am. Reverend Robert D'Imperio will be officiating. Burial will follow at Cape May Veterans Cemetery, 129 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation. Evoy Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements. Joseph Luczejko was born in Philadelphia to Mary and Lukas Luczejko on October 7th, 1920. He was a resident of North Cape May, NJ since May of 1977. He served in the Navy during World War II and was in the Naval Reserves for two years after his discharge. He worked at the Navy Yard in the Naval Aviation Structural Department as a Machinist and Tool Maker. He was an instructor of jet engines at Westinghouse El. Corp at Essington for the Naval Bureau of Aeronautics. He retired from Naval Air Development Center in Warminster, PA as a Planner and Estimator for machine shop and sheet metal. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus Erma, NJ 3rd Degree Council 3546; Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Msgr. Moroney Assembly of Wildwood; Member of the American Legion, NARFE and North Cape May Senior Citizens. Joseph is survived by his daughters, JoAnn Clark of Leland, NC and Janet Gaittens of Philadelphia, PA. Five grandchildren: Kenneth Clark, Douglas Clark, Kevin Gaittens, Megan Gaittens and Christopher Gaittens. Eight Great-grandchildren: Riley Clark, Ainsley Clark, Peyton Clark, Morgan Clark, Colin Clark, Logan Comly, Samantha Gaittens and Caden Comly, and one sister, Mary D'Imperio. He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Luczejko, Son, Joseph Luczejko and Sisters: Annie Petrosky, Sally Brennan and Julia Constantine.
