Once in a great while a person comes into our lives who brings special delight to everyone. In my life Mac was that person. He did not have a bad bone in his body as they say. He was full of an upbeat and positive attitude. He filled the room with laughter and a smile. He always had a positive spin on life__never being negative about anything or anyone. He was a great story teller. He was a wonderful host. He was the ultimate patriot and he was a dedicated Mason and Shriner. And most of all he was a model citizen. Mac did, however, have two faults. He had terrible hand writing and his printing was not much better. But I loved it because that put me in second place in our work environment. The wonderful memories I have of Mac will be with me forever. He will rest with honor in Arlington with those who served__the ultimate tribute to patriots and heroes. My deepest sympathy goes out to Del, his children and grandchildren.

We served together with Joe and his family at Coast Guard Base, Kodiak in the early '70s. Joe was a great shipmate and a big part of the team that made the transition of the base from Navy to Coast Guard. What I remember most about Joe was that he was a very positive person with a great sense of humor. Our heartfelt condolences to the McKenna family. Art & Pam Ladley

We have had the pleasure of knowing Mac & Del through the Military Officers Organization for 20 years. We saw the strength, determination and resilient character Mac exhibited during his extended illness. A finer gentleman would be hard to find. Rest In Peace, dear One - thank you for your service and God bless your family & our wonderful country !
