Obituary of Barbara Marie Geiger

Barbara Marie Geiger, age 86, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Thursday, January 17th, 2018. Barbara was an avid lover of the outdoors, with a green thumb all could only admire. Her gardens were meticulously crafted and she'd mastered growing the perfect roses, which were her favorite of all flowers. She was an animal lover, at one time working as a dog groomer and donating to various animal charities throughout her entire life. This trait was one she gladly passed along to every family member, leaving behind 6 dogs and 4 cats among her immediate family. Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Rae (Brian) Turner and Delores (Robert) Todd. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Christopher Todd, Lauren (Juan) Villegas, Kelly Todd and Kevin Turner, and her brother Albert Albrecht. She is predeceased by her husband Robert, sisters Mary Livingston, Helen Dahm, Doris Parks and Margaret Otto. Barbara always chose to view the world and its surroundings for more than most. As she once told her grandson, "walk outside and listen". In light of this and in honor of Barbara's wishes there will be no funeral services, instead the family wishes everyone to walk outside and listen in Barbara's memory. Barbara also asked to extend a heartfelt thank you and acknowledge the Cape Regional Medical Center and the staff who provided exceptional care for her in her final days.
