When I think of Uncle Nick it puts a smile on my face. Not quite as big as his but still a smile. He was without a doubt one of my favorite uncles. He truly was from the greatest generation. Everyone will miss you. Soon enough we will all be together and when I see you again I'll take my burger medium well. Rest in peace.

I feel privileged to have known Nick. He was always a pleasure to talk to and spend time with when I would see him at various functions over the years and it was evident how much he loved and cared for his family. He truly represented the toughness, strength, and love of the the Greatest Generation.
Prayers to the Smargiassi's, Spatoccos, and the rest of his family.
Dan York and family.

We are saddened by the passing of a good friend. We had good times fishing, going to the casinos and playing cards. I talked to him a few weeks ago to inform him of our moving from Cape May to out assisted living community. He seemed to be in good spirit. Little did I know that it would be the last time I would talk to my dear friend. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. May he rest in peace.

We were sad to hear of Uncle Nick's passing. I always remember his winners & losers philosophy regarding being an in-law (winner) to the Heislers (losers). Truly it is our loss at this time. He was a natural part of the family and close to my parents. My Mom, another in-law, fondly remembered him as always being kind and welcoming.
Your family is in our prayers. May God be with you in this time of loss. We trust he is in God's care now.
With deepest sympathy,
Mike and Marsha Heisler

I will miss my dear and lasting friend from Colwyn. My husband and Nick were the best of friends until the death of my husband. Even after Nick moved we always kept in touch by phone and talked about the good times long ago. He will always remain as my best friend and someday we will all meet again.

Smagiassi Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. He was a good friend of my dad, Joe Ridolfo. They went to BOK together and took auto mechanics. He and your mom, and my mom and dad went to the prom together. He even ended up together with my dad in the Army during the Korean war. They both ended up marrying their prom dates and kept in touch all of those years. After my dad died 15 years ago, he and my mom, Nina, still kept in touch on the phone. She so enjoyed hearing from him because is brought back so many happy memories of my dad. He even got one of his son-in-laws to drive him to my home in Cinnaminson, NJ one Thanksgiving day to surprise her.
She will miss his phone calls, stories of his pots of gravy, and his friendship. You are all in our prayers.
Love, Joy

To the Smargiassi Family,
I wanted to convey my sincere condolences to all of you on the loss of your Dad. To all of us that grew up in Colwyn, he was bigger than life. A man’s man. To me personally, he was like a second father, a friend and a mentor. The hours that he spent with us coaching, playing basketball at Louden’s or Mattern’s houses, or just talking, kept all of us on the right track. I was so happy that I had the opportunity to talk and laugh with him at the Comet’s reunion a few months ago. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Jim Devaney

Dear Diane, Nancy Susan and and all extended family,
Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your dad. I'm not sure if he told you or not but Nick was my dad Andy(Angelo Codamo) childhood friend. I am heartbroken for the loss of your dad. Nick is/was such a kind, handsome, humorous but especially kind gentlemen. I visited him a several times with Anne Carbone after my dad passed away February 7th 2015. He would tell me stories of he and my dad working together at The President Movie Theatre where I later married my husband Steve. He shared stories of he and my dad dating girls and the shenanigans they got into together. I felt so close to my dad when Nick would share his stories He told me how my dad fell in love with my mom and her Spanish (green eyes and how he knew she was the girl for him). I just can't tell you enough how I'll miss him. You all have been truly blessed to have him as your daddy. I'll cherish our lunches in my heart forever and miss him very much. I wish all of you blessings, feelings of peace and memories of joy and love. Love Andrea Codamo Ritter
