I had the great fortune to work along side my cousin Jack Powers as his right hand man in his contractor business for 5 years. He helped me out by taking me on during a tough time in my life. We were always busy because Jack was an honest man who always treated people with respect and kindness. I learned alot from him about the value of hard work and also how to enjoy life. I am so sorry for your loss and saddened by his passing and also feel terrible that I'm unable to make the service Friday. I wanted you to know that all the great memories I have of our time working together - toughing it out in the hot sun and cold, building things, laughing so hard we cried so many times, or just talking about life late in the day having a beer - these memories will stay with me always.
