Darlene Amacher, age 63, of Cape May Court House passed away peacefully Thursday, October 19, 2017 at her home. Darlene was born January 30, 1954 in Fayetteville, TN; formerly lived in Ashville, NC; and has been a Cape May area for six months. She is the daughter of the late Charles and the late Freda (Stimpson) Ward. Darlene was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. She was employed by Southern Dharma Retreat Center, Hot Springs, NC as a Retreat Manager. Darlene also worked at Hartwood Refuge in Hendersonville, NC and was a beach tag checker in Cape May. She attended Cape May Lutheran Church, loved nature & the outdoors, and enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter. Darlene is survived by her sons: Christopher Amacher & Russell Amacher, her sister Brenda West; and her granddaughter Lily Amacher. Also surviving are her former husband Dale Amacher, her mother-in-law Doris Amacher, and her nieces: Melissa West & Andria West. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
