Pop, I no you hear me (finally) another Christmas is around the corner without you. Doesn't get any easier for me, not like they say it should. When you left us 6 yrs ago you were blessed with 2 great grands, well now we're up to 4 with Tiffany pregnant with twins! Mom always thought I was gonna have twins, probably why I stopped after having the 2 girls, weddings are not cheap! lol I try to do things the way you'd be proud of me Pop, I hope you are proud. 2022 was a year of good news and bad news, the good: we bought our retirement home in Delaware, I'm a country boy now! Ya, we live just outside of Dover, even have Amish around! lol Also the announcement of Tiffany being pregnant with the twins, bad news: sadly the Nemec family has gotten caught up with the Cancer bug, first I was diagnosed with leukemia, unfortunately it's the type that gets monitored and has no cure. It's inactive now so I just go back every 3-4 months to have my blood white cells checked and weight checked. Mark got lung cancer, who didn't see that coming! He's getting radiation now, and Al, he sadly got brain cancer! Completely ruined the summer for fishing! Only got the boat out 6 times this Summer but he's doing very good now, back to work as of the beginning of Dec. Well I know you are catching up with all your brother's and sisters up there along mom and grand mom & pop, just keep an eye on us, sometimes I don't have the answers and need help. Oh ya, Phils are making another run at a World Series! It's like we're the Yankees of the NL! lol

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Consider Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subjected to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

Grandpop wasn't a man of many words but he loved his family beyond words can describe.

Pop, growing up you were hard but fair, made me the man I am today. No matter what, as a kid you saw all my diving meets, cheered me on to 1 gold, 3 silvers, 1 bronze and 2 just below medal contention. You were there for all of my ice hockey games at Springfield ice rink. I can honestly say, "You were my biggest cheerleader!" The thing I love most about you being my father, you were always there for me! You were there in the hospital when I broke my neck diving and like 13 yrs later you were there when I wrecked a car in Scotland! You flew across the Atlantic (and everybody knows how you love to fly) to be with me! Gonna miss that about you Pop. I hope and pray I can be half the father you were to my kids. This fishing season Pop, guide my GPS to the fish!
Rest in peace Pop.
Love Dave
