Ronald Burns, age 83, of Barrington, NJ passed away peacefully Sunday, December 20, 2015. Ron was born August 9, 1932 in Glen Ridge, NJ. He graduated from Collingswood High School in 1950. Ron served his country in the US Army during the Korean War from 1953 – 1954. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University in 1962. Ron was also a Professional Engineer and Licensed Land Surveyor. He was employed by the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation for over 30 years. Ron is survived by his two sons: Douglas also of Barrington, NJ and Steven of the Woodlands, TX. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Virginia. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Ron's memory to the Moorestown Visiting Nurse Association, 300 Harper Drive, Moorestown, NJ 08057.
