Our sincerest condolences to you.
We were neighbors on Yale Street. Anne was a lovely lady. We moved in 2003 and she was the first to welcome us to the neighborhood. I would always see her walking her cocker spaniel. When the dog was diagnosed with cancer, she was "spoiling him rotten" giving him ice cream and steak. She told us she enjoyed our Christmas decorations and she could see them from her window.
She will be missed.

I worked with Anne when she was temporarily assigned to my department at Bell to write training material. Anne was a great inspiration to me & taught me things that carried with me through my career & that I still use today.
After many, many years we found ourselves retired and living on the same street in Villas! I have since moved away but I will never forget Anne and her kindness.
God bless you Anne and Thank You.

Aunt Anne Purvis - "The Great AA" - has left this world a little less bright this week. She was a selfless, gentle, loving woman with a tremendous and empathetic generosity of spirit and a quick, easy laugh. AA was a woman who was happy, who loved others and herself and all the dogs of the world, and who was bemused by most of life. If she ever spent any time complaining or being angry, I never saw it. She was the kind of person who would cause you to rethink any unkind thoughts you might have on a given subject. She had tremendous faith, until the very end. Like a second mother to all the Purvis children, we were blessed to have her in our lives in so many ways and we owe a debt of gratitude. 85 years simply wasn't enough.
I suspect she greeted St. Peter with a box of donuts.
