Frank W Brad Jr., 72, of Rio Grande passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at his home. Born in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, he moved to North Wildwood when he was 10 years old. Frank has been a Rio Grande resident since 1986. He was a 1957 graduate of Wildwood Catholic High School, served in the US Army Reserve as a Staff Sergeant from 1963-1967, was a driver for Tasty Cake in Cape May County for 17 years, was assistant manager at the Wildwood Acme Market, and was the manager of the Acme Market in Ocean City. Frank was a member of St Anne's RC Church in Wildwood, the Erma Moose Club, and a former member of the N Wildwood Moose. He was a musician for 60 years, a member of The Geno's, The Foremost, The Favorites, and The Frank Brad One Man Band. Frank is survived by his wife of 47 years Janet (nee Shanklin), his son Frank J Brad of Lower Twp., his son Steven L Brad of Rio Grande, and his granddaughter Ashley A Brad. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank Sr. & Theresa, and his sister Barbara Hurd. Funeral services will be private. The family suggests donations in Frank's memory to Compassionate Care Hospice, 518 S Shore Rd, Marmora, NJ 08223.
