I only knew Vic for the 2010 fall semester at Colgate, but the time I got to know him made a large impact on my life. Vic was one of those guys who did what he wanted regardless of what others thought of him. Not only was he the biggest and strongest on the team, he was what I call one of the best types of people. He always had a smile on his face and welcomed me and all the other freshman with open arms to the rugby team. I feel privileged to say that I knew Vic Krivitski and that he knew me. I really do wish I got to know him better, and I like everyone else, wish that we could have more time with him. He has and continues to be an inspiration in my life. My thoughts and prayers go out to Vic and his family.

From the day of his birth Victor was a joy to all those he encountered each day. He was always smiling, pleasant and a joy to be near. God could lend him to us for only a short time because he needed such a kind and thoughtful soul to continue his work in heaven. When you feel a gentle breeze blowing on your cheek it's just Victor reminding you he's near.

I remember Victor as a young boy. Roxane brought him to our volleyball games. He was always so well-behaved. While the other kids were running around and whining Victor would be quietly sitting against the wall reading a book (R L Stein books I think).
He was also very polite when I talked to him at the games or when he answered the phone at the bike shop.
Anyone would have been proud to have him for a son.

I only met Vic once, saw him play Rugby for Colgate and shared a burger and beer with him and after the game. A brief encounter but enough to get a feel for the impact of his loss. I don't understand why and that is disturbing, I can only hope and pray that each one of us appreciates the life we have more when we think if his ending so quickly.

Vic was an amazing young man and instrumental in our work to end genocide with the Valentino Deng foundation.
Vic was one of the key figures in helping reach our goal of raising $5,000 and a lot of awareness regarding the genocide in Sudan.
I will miss him.

I never met Vic but feel compelled to reach out to his family. As a graduate of Colgate, '83, and a fellow Phi Delt and a geology major, I sense he was a wonderful person and some one I had a lot in common with. I'm sorry for your loss and hope you can take solace in cherishing the wonderful times you experienced with him.
