Frances (Dolly) E King, age 84, of Villas passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, November 16, 2009. Born in Philadelphia, she has been a Cape May area resident since 1947. Frances had several occupations including: waitress; bookkeeper; nursing; and homemaker. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She had a gentle spirit and loved her Scottish heritage, especially the playing of bagpipes. Frances is survived by her husband Herbert of Villas; son William (Debbie) of Belleplain; son David of New Hampshire; son John (Suzan) of North Cape May; daughter Sandei (Steve) Gittle of North Wildwood; daughter Debra (Reverend Bill) Gager of North Cape May; daughter Joy (Joseph) Sanchez of Smithville; and daughter Donna Hess (Gary O'Shea) of Wildwood. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. There will be a memorial service on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home from noon until 1:00 pm. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in Frances' memory to Susan G Komen For the Cure, 2 Princess Road, Suite D, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
