Joseph J (Bud) Mulvihill, age 76, of Villas passed away peacefully on Friday, November 13, 2009 at the North Cape Center. Born in Philadelphia, he has been a Cape May area resident since 1995. He was a retired machinist from the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and worked at Star Sprinkler of Taconey. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Joe was a member of the North Cape May VFW; Holy Name Society; Life member of the American Legion of Cape May Court House; and the Knights of Columbus Stella Maris Council 5343 of Erma. Joseph is survived by: his wife of 39 years Eileen (nee Quinn) of Villas; his brother Edwin Mulvihill of Philadelphia; his brother Thomas (Marie) Mulvihill of Philadelphia; several nieces and nephews; and his loyal rescue dog companion Buddy. He was preceded in death by two other loyal pet dogs Bandit & Kelly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St Raymond's RC Church, Bayshore & Ocean Ave, Villas, NJ. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will follow the service at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery in Cape May Court House. Contributions may be made in Bud's memory to St Raymond's Church, 25 E Hudson Ave, Villas, NJ 08251 or the Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1801 Route 9, Swainton, NJ 08210.
