Obituary of Robert John Brigham

Robert J Brigham Sr., age 63, passed away in Chincoteaque, VA on Saturday, October 31, 2009. Born in Philadelphia, he spent most of his life in Cape May County. He was a 1964 graduate of Lower Cape May Regional High School. Robert was employed by the City of Cape May as a carpenter for 15 years. He was a member of St Raymond's Church in Villas; the Moose Club of Erma; and the American Legion of Chincoteaque, VA. Robert enjoyed fishing, crabbing, traveling, boating, and was especially fond of watching the ponies of Chincoteaque make their annual swim from the island of Assateaque, VA. He is survived by: his wife of 45 years Linda (nee) Clark Brigham of Villas; his son Michael (Michele) Brigham of Pennsville, NJ; his daughter Michele Hermosura of Virginia Beach, VA; and seven grandchildren: RJ, Alexis, Stone, Nikolas, Matthew, Alex, & Joshua. He was preceded in death by his son Robert Jr. in 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Cold Spring Cemetery following the service.
