Obituary of Carolyn Rose Kent

Carolyn Rose Kent, nee Beier, of Cape May, NJ and Englewood, FL (former long time resident of Clayton, NJ) died at Cape Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness, on October 28, 2009 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on June 19, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA to Rose Mary (Heckman) and Ernest Beier Sr. Her grandparents both immigrated from Germany.
Carolyn graduated from Audubon HS. She worked for Suplee Dairy in Philadelphia during World War II and in the 50's helped found and run Authorized Business Machines Inc. with her husband Ed and brother Ernie. Carolyn was a proud wife, mother and homemaker and liked to garden, read, cook for her family, fish, bike, canoe, and travel. Spending time with her family was her favorite activity. She also volunteered at Woodbury Hospital, was a classroom aide and worked at the information center in Cape May. She served for many years on the Alter Guild for the Church of the Advent in Cape May and belonged to the Cape May Women's Club and was a member of the Englewood Villas Ladies Club and the Red Hats in Florida. Carolyn loved both of her shore homes.
Carolyn leaves behind Edward P. Kent, her beloved husband of 63 years; her daughters Carol Lyn Rose and Sandra Kent Fedoroff; and her sons-in-law James Bellino and Nick Fedoroff. She was a devoted, loving grandmother to her grandchildren Colleen Brooker and Kent Fedoroff, and was so happy to recently become a Great Grandmother to Gabriel Paul and Simon James Brooker. Carolyn also leaves behind her brother Ernest Beier., his wife Elinor; her sister Rose Marie Hopkins and her husband Herman and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 31, at 3pm at the Church of the Advent located on the corner of Washington and Franklin Streets in Cape May, NJ. . Her wishes were to be cremated and her remains will be placed at the Church of the Advent Episcopal Church in Cape May, NJ. after the memorial service.
