George T Scheidler, age 88, of North Cape May passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2009. Born in Philadelphia, he has been a Cape May County resident for over 30 years. George served his country in the US Army during World War II, and was a retired US Postal Service worker. He was a member of St Raymond's Church in Villas, the American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus. George was preceded in death by his wife Matilda (nee Surman) in 2003. He is survived by his sister Helen Zimmaro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St Raymond's Church on Bayshore & Ocean Ave in Villas on Friday, October 30, 2009. Friends will be received at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at St Mary's Cemetery in Cold Spring. To share condolences, please visit www.evoyfuneralhome.com.
