Obituary of Willis Frederick Selleck

Willis "Fred" Selleck, 806 Shunpike Road, Cold Spring, died 10/22 at the North Cape Center. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and served for several years in the CCC Camp in Green Bank,NJ. He was married to Esther Mae Thorn Selleck, of Bargaintown, E. H. T., for 56 years. For most of their life together they lived in Delaware County, PA, where he was employed by Sun Ship, Pennsylvania Industrial Chemical Corporation and the Springfield School District, from which he retired. He and his wife were faithful members of the Bible Presbyterian Church of Chester (now Marcus Hook), where he remained as Elder Emeritus. He was predeceased by his wife who died at 78 in 1992. He was the father of Wayne F. Selleck of Laurel MD, Linda M. Woodring of Honea Path, SC, and Maryellen S. Barr of Cape May. He is survived by one niece, Jean Louise Breckley, of New Canaan, CT, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The graveside Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 27, at 11 :00 a.m., in the Scullville Bible Church Cemetery of Egg Harbor Township, with Rev. Dan Barr, son-in law, presiding. The Evoy Funeral Home of North Cape May is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers gifts may be sent to either Marcus Hook Bible Presbyterian Church or Shore Points Presbyterian Church, c/o Maryellen Barr, 806 Shunpike Road, Cape May, NJ 08204.
