Donald R Lance, age 58, of Villas passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 19, 2009. Born in Glen Ridge, NJ; he spent most of his life in Cape May County. Don attended the ACC Culinary School and was the chef at the Merion Inn for 20 years before becoming the chef at the Wildwood Golf and Country Club.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Jill; and a son, Peter R Lance of Villas. He is also survived by: his mother Betty Lance; his brother Art of Cape May Court House, NJ; his brother Charles of Groton, NY; his sister Ruth of Groton, NY; his sister Audrey of Groton, NY; and his sister Carol of Columbia, SC. He was preceded in death by his father Donald R Lance Sr.
There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate Don's life on Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM. Please feel free to bring your smile and any "Don" stories you would like to share commemorating this great son, husband, father, brother, friend, chef, and musician.
