Obituary of Theodore Lambertino

Theodore Lambertino, age 85, of Villas passed away at home on Saturday, October 3, 2009. Ted was born and grew up in Philadelphia, PA. At 17, he joined the navy and was stationed on the USS Gatlin; which was part of the South Pacific battle group during World War II. Ted was honorably discharged and received numerous medals for his service to his country. In 1945 he began work at the New York Ship Building Corp. When they closed, he moved to Villas, NJ working as a custodian in the Lower Township School District. The staff and children affectionately knew him as "Mr. Ted" until he retired after 25 years of service.
Ted is survived by his loving wife Marie; and his three daughters: Sandra (John) Gorbe, Sharon (Voss) Striluk, and Vickie (Ed) Brunner. He is also survived by four grandchildren: John Gorbe, Larisa Striluk, Nicole Striluk, and Jeremy Brunner; as well as two great grandchildren: Destini Lewis and Alexis Gorbe.

Friends may call Tuesday evening, October 6, 2009 from 6 pm - 8 pm at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. Raymond's Church, Bayshore & Ocean Ave, Villas, NJ. Internment will follow the service at the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery.
