Mayer Sher, age 87, of Cheswold, DE passed away peacefully on September 11, 2009 at the Cape Regional Medical Center, Cape May Court House. Born in Philadelphia, he resided in Bridgeton, Moorestown, and Cherry Hill; before moving to Cheswold. Mayer worked as a machinist for the Kraft General Food Corp in Dover, DE. He also worked at Millville Airworks and was involved in insurance sales. He served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. Mayer was a hard working, generous man who never tired of helping others. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rose Marie Sher (nee Weldon); a brother-in-law, Elsworth Weldon.
