Frank Domonic Basile, 70, passed away September 4, 2009. Frank was a life long resident of Cape May County and he was a 1956 graduate of Wildwood Catholic High School. Frank was the owner and operator of Veterans Cab Company for 9 years. He was previously employed by Versaggi Brothers and Casino Excersions. In his later years, he was employed by Victoria Commons Retirement Center, where he loved transporting patients as a bus driver. He retired June 26, 2009. Frank had a love for all sports, but was especially proud to have been the bus driver for the State Championship girl's basketball team from Wildwood High School. Everyone knew of his love for his family and for the sport of horse racing. He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn. He is survived by his son Frank Basile Jr and daughter-in-law Lori of Wildwood Crest; his loving daughter Maria and son-in-law Joe Harris of Cape May; his step daughter Kim and her husband Mike Piettyman; his stepson Ken Bozarth; and his caring brothers-in-law Fred Sowers & Joseph Sowers. Frank is also survived by his three adored grandsons: Frank Basile III, Lucus Basile, and Matthew Harris. In lieu of flowers; donations can be made to the Vince Tabone Memorial Fund, Fresenius Medical Center for dialysis, 1259 Route 9 South, Cape May Court House. Friends will be received from 10 am - 11 am on Wednesday September 9, 2009 with the service to follow at 11 am in the Evoy Funeral Home in North Cape May. Internment service will be private.
