Obituary of William E. Coffey

William E. Coffey, Jr., 58, of North Wildwood, NJ passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Born in Phila., PA on March 30, 1951, Bill was raised in Folcroft, Delaware County, PA. After proudly serving his country in the Vietnam War from 1969-71, Bill settled in Ocean City, NJ. In 1983 he moved to Palm Bay, Florida, where he raised his family. A carpet installer by trade, he owned and operated Carpet World of Brevard. After relocating back to NJ, Bill worked for many years at Tony's Produce in Villas. Bill was predeceased by his brother, Robert, in 2001. He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Eileen (MacDonald) Coffey; his loving daughter, Diane Cadle; his sons, Robert and Ryan, his "best buddies". Bill had seven grandchildren, Brianna, Eric, Ryan, Justin, Christopher, Megan, Ryan, Jr. that he cherished and adored. Bill is also survived by his parents, William E., Sr. and Ann M. (McMahon) Cofffey, his brother, John (Susan) Coffey, sisters Diane (Dave) Eckard and Susan Fletcher. Bill was a loved and cared for uncle by his many nieces and nephews, who took great joy in his many sayings and stories. He was their "Uncle Billy". Bill had a heart of gold, and his generous, compassionate and caring spirit will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him so dearly. A memorial service will be held on Monday, 3:00 PM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N. Cape May, NJ, where friends may call after 2:00 PM.
