Joseph F. Devlin, 83, of North Cape May passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday. Born in Phila., PA, he was a resident here since 1978. He was a retired conductor for Reading R.R. Mr. Devlin served in the U. S. Navy on the Liberty Ships during World War ll. He was a member of Charles Buddy Lewis V.F.W. Post of Villas, Villas Fishing Club and Villas Golden Age Club. Joseph enjoyed having morning coffee with his McDonald's friends and hanging out with his "Canal Buddies" Surviving are his children, Marian A. Lyons & David of Inverness, FL, Colette G. Devlin and companion Al Pangburn of N. Cape May, Christopher J. & Stephanie of N. Cape May; his companion's sons, Robert & Marge Johnston and William Johnston; four grandchildren, Kenneth, John, Michele and Jeremy and a great grandchild, Shane, He was predeceased by his wife, Josephine; son Joseph R. Devlin and companion, Lee Johnston. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 11:00 AM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N. Cape May, NJ 08204, where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Cape May Co. Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be sent to: Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1801 Route 9, Swainton, NJ 08210 or Survivors of Cancer, PO Box 266 Wildwood, NJ 08260 .
