James Erwin Simcox, III, 32, of Turnersville, beloved son of James Erwin Simcox Jr. and June Simcox of North Cape May passed away Wednesday May 20, 2009.
James was born on March 3rd 1977 in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Wildwood, NJ. He was a 1995 graduate of Wildwood High School where he excelled as an athlete in Wrestling and Football. He spent his summers as a life guard for the Wildwood Beach Patrol. He attended Farleigh Dickenson University where he graduated in 2000 and majored in Psychology. He is an alumni of Sigma Chi Fraternity. For the past ten years, James was employed as General Manager for Preferred Freezer of Philadelphia, PA. Jimmy was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies Fan and challenged all who weren't. He enjoyed playing golf and always put his family and friends first. He was an amazingly generous person, with an enormous heart and zest for life, which overflowed into everyone around him. He worked hard and played even harder. Although his life was cut short, he loved and lived every single moment of it. He will be missed by all who's lives he touched.
James is survived by his wife Amy Simcox of Staten Island, NY; his loving grandfather, James I. Simcox Sr. of Wildwood, NJ; sister June and brother-in-law George Gerhart of East Stroudsburg, PA; brother Donny Simcox of North Cape May, NJ; his uncle Donald Simcox of the Villas, NJ. He will be greatly missed by his nephews, George and Dominic, his many cousins and friends.
Jimmy is in the arms of Angels with his beloved Grandmother. He will be forever loved and missed and forever carried in our hearts today, tomorrow and always.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 3:00 PM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ where friends may call from 1-3 PM. Burial will be private.
