Margaret "Peggy" Hanson (McDonough), age 88 passed away peacefully on May 1st. She was born and raised in Philadelphia and moved to North Cape May 25 years ago. She was an active member of St. John of God Parish, where she was a Eucharist Minister and belonged to the Legion of Mary. She was a devoted member of the Christ Child Society and was very proud to have received the honor of lifetime member. She was predeceased by her loving husband, William, son Charles Gerard and infant son, William, Jr. She is survived by daughters Pat McCarthy (Sean), Marge Sleght (Bob) and Kathie Hanson, grandsons Andrew, Chris, Brian, Patrick and Joseph and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 6th, 11:00 AM at St. John of God church, 680 Townbank Rd., N. Cape May, NJ. Viewing from 10 - 11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in Cape May Co. Veterans Cem. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Christ Child Society, P O Box 882, N. Cape May, NJ 08204 or the Sister Ellyn McCann S.H.C.J.
