Anna M. Schummer, 83 of Villas, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at her home. She was born in Maple Shade, NJ, and has resided in the Cape May area since the early 1990's. Anna was formerly of Deptford Twp., NJ. She had been an accountant employed by Metal Edge in Burlington, NJ and Charming Shoppes in Philadelphia. She was last employed with the United Way in Wildwood, NJ. Anna had been active with the Holly Shores Girl Scouts in Gloucester County. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and reading books. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond. She is survived by a son Raymond (Dorothy) Schummer of Davidsonville, MD; a daughter, Anna (Frank) Hampton of Villas; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The family is grateful to Holy Redeemer Hospice for all their care and love during Anna's final days. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11:00 am at St. Raymond's R.C. Church, Bayshore Road And Ocean Avenue, Villas. Friends may call Monday from 09-10:30 am at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ. Burial will be in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to: The American Red Cross, 34 E. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
