Miguel A. Cortes M.D., 61 of Dennisville, died Friday, April 3, 2009 at the Atlanticare Reg. Med. Center, Atlantic City, NJ..He was born in Camden, NJ, and was formerly of Philadelphia before moving to Dennisville 16 years ago. He was a graduate of Hanaman Hospital Medical School in Philadelphia. He was a Family Medical Doctor, employed by Atlanticare Reg. Med. Center, Atlantic City. He also had worked for the Cape May Co. Health Department for 10 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Msgr. Robert B. Ervin Council #14291 in Woodbine. He is survived by his wife Isabel (married since 1980) ; two sons Michael Cortes and Robert Cortes both of Philadelphia, Pa; three daughters, Shirley Cortes, Miriam Cortes and Emma Cortes all of Philadelphia; his mother Shirley Melvin of Philadelphia; a brother David Cortes of Sea Isle City.Services for Miguel are private.
