John J. Derer, 89, on April 1, 2009 of N. Cape May, formerly of Phila., PAHusband of Kaye (nee Dillon); father of James M. (Barbara), Rosemarie (Leslie), Kathy (Rick)Fretz, Joseph (Joann); grandfather of Tracy, James, Gregory, Jason, Alfred, Dillon, Samantha, Richard, Jaclyn, Kimberly, Tish, Joseph Jr. and Thomas and 10 great-grandchildren; brother William. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service Monday, 11am at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, N. Cape May, NJ where friends may call after 10 am. Int.: Cape May Co. Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to: The Animal Welfare Society, 40 US Route 47, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210
