Rosario " Sam" Cancila, 89 of, N. Cape May, NJ, died suddenly Saturday March 28, 2009 in his home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he has been an area resident over 25 years. Mr. Cancila served in the Army Air corps during World War II, He is a member of the N.A.R.F. meeting at the Millman Center in Villas and the Golden Age Club. He is the son of the late Antonio and the late Mary (Turrisi) Cancila. .Survivng is his wife of 63 years Carmela (Rodi) Concila. His Children: Maryann (Bill) Gahagan of Phila (Anthony (Maryann) Cancila of Phila, Raymond (Andrea) Cancila of Langhorne, Pa. and Donna (Robert) Keating of N.. Cape May. A brother Orazio Cancila of Mullica Hill, N.J his grandchildren: Sharon, Anthony, Donna, Diane, Anthony, Steven, Nick, Raymond and 4 great grandchildren. (Predeceased by one grandchild William)Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:00am Thursday April 2nd at St. John of God R.C. Church 680 Townbank Rd. N. Cape May N.J. 08204 where friends may call after 10:00am. Burial will be private in St. Mary;s Cemetery Cold Spring.Contributions in his memory requested to the Lupis Foundation of Southern N.J. 6 White Horse Pike Haddon Hts. N.J. 08035.
