Joseph R. Kubiak, 86 of Lower Twp. passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the Cape Regional Med. Center, Cape May Court House. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was an area resident since 1980. Joseph was self-employed in the Home Improvement industry and then for 25 years was the owner-operator of the party boat Miss Lorraine II out of Cape May. He served in the US Navy in the 69th US Naval Construction Battalion during WW II. Joseph also served as a second class petty officer in the US Navy during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife: Nora; a son Joseph Kubiak (Margaret); three granddaughters, Gretchen, Alison Hummel and Lily; two brothers Henry and Anthony and a sister Marie McMullen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the St. John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Road, N. Cape May. Friends may call Saturday from 09-10:30 am at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, N. Cape May. Burial will follow in the Cape May Co. Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House.
