Obituary of Bernadine A. Austin

Bernadine Higgins Austin, age 63, of Villas died on Monday at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Phila., Pa., she summered here since 1989, moving permanently 15 years ago. She was a graduate of St. Hubert's High School in Phila., pursued undergraduate studies at Holy Family University and earned a Master's Degree from Chestnut Hill College. She was a self-employed psychologist and taught at Mount St. Joseph's Academy in Flourtown, Pa. and Cape Christian Academy in Cape May. She was a former member of St. Bernard's R. C. Church and attended Assembly of God Church in Cape May. Surviving are her mother, Catherine Higgins of Cape May; a son, Ralph Saturnino of Langhorne, Pa.; two daughters, Dr. Lisa Kates Rubin and husband Eric Rubin of Ellicott City, Md., and Heather Kelly and husband Michael of North Wales, Pa., seven grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Charles Higgins and wife Sally of Tiburon, CA and her fianc, Thomas Sexton of Cape May Court House, NJ. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Higgins in December of 1991.A memorial service will be held on Friday, 11:00 AM at the Assembly of God Church, Cold Spring, NJ, where friends may call after 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, 9:30 AM at St. Bernard's R. C. Church, 7341 Cottage St., Phila., Pa. Interment will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, Pa.
