Catherine C. Caltagirone, age 85, of Villas died on Tuesday, Jan. 20th at her home. Born in Phila., Pa., she was a resident here since 1993. She was a retired secretary from Jones Junior High School in Phila., where she was employed for 18 years. She was a member of the Phila. Federation of Teachers and her hobbies were quilting and ceramics. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis C., to whom she was married for 59 years. Surviving are six children, Francis O. (Claudette) of Mantua, Margaret of Del Haven, Vincent (Lucy) of Phila., Joseph of Phila., Michael of Phila. and Thomas ( Virginia of Muskegon, Michigan; a sister, Margaret "Peg" (Ed) Charlton of Villas; two brothers, Francis (Ann) Curran of Pa. and Joseph (Rose Marie) Curran of Villas; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, 11 AM at St. John of God Church, 680 Town Bank Rd., N. Cape May, NJ. There will be a viewing on Monday from 9 - 10:30 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N. Cape May, NJ. Burial will be in Cape May County Veterans Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be sent to: Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1801 Route 9, Swainton, NJ 08210.
