Obituary of Paul L. McVey

Paul L. McVey, age 77, of Erma died on Monday at North Cape Center. Born in North Wildwood, NJ, he was a lifelong area resident. He was a commercial fisherman for Frank Marriner on the fishing boat F/V Donna for 30 years. He was a 1950 graduate of Wildwood High School and joined the Merchant Marines in the mid 1950's. He was a member of St. Paul R. C. Church, Stone Harbor, NJ. He enjoyed horse racing. Surviving are three sons, Daniel of Erma and Michael and wife Charline of Erma and Steven Parker and wife Debbie of Green Creek; two daughters, Ann Laturno of Fairbanks, Alaska and Susan Crochet of New Iberia, La ; seven grandchildren, Tiffany and husband Dallas, Corinne, Shane, Austin, Lauren, Kristen and Edward; a sister in law, Mary Ann Cooper of Erma and many nieces and nephews and also by the family dog "Taz". He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan on Feb. 16, 2004, daughter Leslie on July 14, 2006 and daughter Cheryl Moriarty on Dec. 6, 2008. Funeral services will be held on Sat., Jan. 24, 11 AM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N. Cape May, NJ where friends may call from 10 AM. Burial will be in Tabernacle Cemetery, Erma, NJ.
