Benjamin Berkowitz, 68 of North Cape May, died on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a resident here for nine years. He served in the US Army and was a member of Charles "Buddy" Lewis Post VFW in Villas. He was a retired air conditioner repairman for the York Co.
Surviving are his wife, Susan A.; a daughter, Ruth Walegir; sons, Kenneth and Michael Berkowitz.; two step-children, Carolyn Buschman and Ricky Buschman; a grandson, Alexander Berkowitz and a sister, Leah Horn. Servicees will be held on Thursday, 11 AM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ, where friends may call from 10 am. Burial will be in Cape May Co. Veterans Cemetery.
